TiviMate is the best living-room IPTV client on Firestick and Android TV. For PremiumIPTV you add one playlist (M3U or Xtream), let EPG load, favourite football groups, and leave the rest alone. This is the deep setup; the apps guide is the shopping chart.
M3U versus Xtream Codes in TiviMate
M3U is a file URL. Xtream is host + username + password. Both can carry the same channels. Xtream usually maps EPG and catch-up more cleanly. If we send Xtream, do not also add the M3U “for backup” on a one-connection plan — TiviMate may open two live sessions.
Paste exactly. A trailing space or http/https mix is the number one “TiviMate error 401” we see. Send a screenshot to WhatsApp rather than retyping on a Firestick.
EPG that does not lie to you at 14:55
After the playlist loads, open Settings → EPG and bump the update interval to every 12 or 24 hours, not every hour (that just hammers the device). If programme titles stay generic, ask us for an EPG source — do not scrape random XMLTV URLs from Reddit.
Offset: UK feeds are usually UTC+0/+1. Nordic channels may need +1/+2. Wrong offset looks like “the match is missing” when it is one row up.
Match-day layout
Create a Favourites group: your PL channel, your UCL channel, a news backup, a radio/commentary spare if you use one. Hide the 20,000-row list from the default screen so you are not scrolling through shopping channels at kick-off.
Player settings: FFmpeg vs system decoder — if one drops audio after a mid-match advert, switch. Smallest buffer that stays stable is the goal; a huge buffer adds delay on goals that your group chat already spoiled.
TiviMate Premium, PVR and honesty
The free TiviMate build is enough to prove a playlist. Premium adds multi-EPG, recordings, and nicer management. It is a third-party licence sold by the TiviMate author, not a Sky-style “PremiumIPTV score”. We do not publish an AggregateRating for the app.
PVR needs local storage (USB on Shield, some Firesticks with a hub). Recording a live UCL match while watching it still uses your live connection. Recordings are for time-shift in the house, not a pirate archive.
Where TiviMate cannot go
No LG webOS. No stock Samsung Tizen. No Apple TV App Store build that we will recommend you sideload through unofficial stores. Use SS IPTV / IBO on LG, Smart IPTV / SS IPTV on Samsung, Smarters or GSE on Apple TV.
If a YouTube video tells you to sideload TiviMate on iPhone, ignore it. That path breaks every other iOS update.

Add PremiumIPTV to TiviMate
- Install TiviMate. Amazon Appstore on Firestick or Google Play on Chromecast / Shield / Android TV.
- Get credentials. WhatsApp +44 7307 410512 — ask for M3U or Xtream for TiviMate.
- Add playlist. Add playlist → paste URL or Xtream host/user/password. Name it PremiumIPTV.
- Load EPG. Wait for the first EPG pass; favourite football groups; set a sensible update interval.

TiviMate says playlist error. Is the service down?
Usually a truncated URL or Wi-Fi. Confirm the string on WhatsApp and retry on Ethernet. If the same URL plays in VLC on a laptop, the stick is the problem.

Can I use TiviMate and Smarters together?
Yes as a backup install. Do not play live on both at once on a one-connection plan.
Why is catch-up missing?
Catch-up is per channel and per package. If the EPG row has no catch-up badge, that channel does not offer it — ask before assuming a fault.
